Right propeller – Why it’s important?
Correctly calculated propeller is of utmost importance to get the most out of the engine and propulsion. Its dimensions determine how much of the engine’s power will be converted into propeller performance and to what extent the boat will reach the set parameters. The selection of a propeller is an important part of the calculation of the entire propulsion system of the ship, an incorrectly selected propeller leads to engine overload or vice versa – to an excessively unloaded engine, increased operating costs, low efficiency of the propulsion system, increased cavitation, etc.
